ABK survives on donations and we like to reduce the amount of waste going into landfill. Whether it's a bike or bits of a bike, we'd be happy to take them off your hands. Monetary donations are also greatly appreciated as are the donations of time that our amazing casual and core volunteers provide to us.

Whether it's through our weekly workshops or one of our courses, we LOVE sharing information about bikes and advocating for their use and the freedom they can provide. We also love showing how our community works so even if bikes aren't your thing, we've got many social and non-bike related ways to get inolved with Adelaide Bike Kitchen.

join an event

ABK holds regular events. Some of these are social rides or parties, others are music nights or panel discussions about important topics at the time. On a few occasions we've been lucky enough to host bike tourers who share their stories of life on the road.

If you'd like to host an event or come along to one, click the link below to find out more.

We have many tasks where volunteers can engage with ABK and different roles that may suit different peoples' interests. Our Core Volunteers help to manage the space and our workshops nights, often committing to being included on our weekly rosters.

Our Casual Volunteers who rock up when it suits them perfome various tasks associated with processing donations and keeping the space functioning.

project bikes

For those who are in the mood for a new bike, ABK offers a Project Bike scheme.

$100 will provide you with a bike of your choice and all its parts required to get it up and running as well as a month membership to ABK, the opportunity to store the bike at ABK while working on it and a free hire bike for the month if you need it.
